Shortened History: When Avon was born her mother died from an infection resulting from child birth. When she was two years old her father ran off with a young woman. He left Avon because he didn't want a child with him. She was found two days later, alone in her house and put into foster care. Soon after she arrived in foster care strange things began happening. When she was upset a lamp would fall over on its own, or a glass would tip over for no reason. As a result she got moved from foster home to foster home until she ran away shortly after she turned fifteen. She wandered for a few months before eventually coming to Lievel High.

Roleplay Sample: The warm day did nothing to make the small, makeshift holding places any more enjoyable to be in. The three tiny pens were almost completely filled by slaves to be sold. Even though the auction had been going on for a good few hours the progress was slow, and the smell grew worse as time went on.
Avon was standing in the most crowded pen, growing dizzy from the lack of air and space. Her dark brown hair hung loosely about her face, covering most of her face and hiding one of her deep green eyes. Her dress was dirty and old. It was getting slightly small, but no one cared. She amused herself by drawing circles in the dust with her bare feet.
She was stuck in the group of slaves that no one wanted. Her parents had been slaves but they'd run away with her when she was young. At the age of ten she'd been discovered and taken back into slavery while her parents were killed. She generally made no trouble but every now and then she would refuse to do something, and that fact alone made her "undesirable".
A large man pushed his way through the slaves and grabbed her arm. With no explanation he dragged her out to the auction. "Who wants this one?" he questioned the crowd, gripping her arm so hard that her circulation began to fail. ((That was from an old slave roleplay I did once))

Shortened History: In the year 2096, Garrett Lovelock was thought mad for his beiliefs in the mysterious substance known as "The Void". Though Garrett didn't know yet, the void was anything that existed without space or time, simply being there, or not being there. If you were to go below the level of protoquarks on an atomic scale, you would in fact find nothing, as the void, which is also the building block of matter, exists without position or dimension, so your frame of referance in which to measure the void becomes inapplicable. He also did not know that it was an extreme manifestation within the void that originally created time and space, back at the big bang.
Now imagine an experiment gone wrong enough to send a human being through the void and out the other side. That's right, a three dimensional object being forced under the rules of a non-dimensional world. The end of both universes? Or the greatest scientific breakthrough since the invention of the lightbulb? And so Garrett's adventure begins...
However, Garrett's downfall was his impatience. Had the simple thought ocurred to him that the void existed out of space and time, he never would have tried the device he built. Oh well, off he goes, 696 years into the past...
He arrived in the medieval times. He had brought a portable one-time-use version of the device for just this reason, but he decided not to use it for one thing he realized: if the void could hold together time and space, yet so easily broken into by someone like him, then wouldn't that explain the myth of magic? Garrett's quest for power begins...
Over time and meditation, he has managed to go in and out of the void at will, allowing him the power of teleportation, but he decided not to use time travel again for three reasons. One, mistakes would be a lot more costly than just traveling through space, after all, that's what got him here in the first place. Two, a temporal paradox. If he met himself by mistake, it could cause time to error and skip. Garrett wouldn't like any corrections the time stream would have to make to remain linear. Three, these so called wizards already had a limited understanding of the void, thus a headstart to obtaining universal control, maybe even meeting this god person that supposedly made the universe.
During his studies, he made an "Enchanted" bow and quiver that gave him unlimited arrows of various types, and he realized that his increased intelligence should give him dominion over the primitive folk surrounding him. Thus he changed his name to Ghost Shift, to match the legends and strike fear into their hearts.
Over the next ten years, Shift studied as much as he could in the void, as well as the so called mythical creatures that surrounded him, which seemed more and more logical the more he studied them.
But he was growing old.
Deciding once and for all that someone else had to finish his work, he used the device to return home.

He knew that becoming a professor was the easiest way to spread his knowledge, but with impatience being his downfall, he forgot to remember that he was already laughed out of one college. Soon to be the second... And third... And so forth, but one seemed particularly different. It went by the name Lievel High... Not a college but at least he could teach. Garrett was desperate at this point, so it didn't really matter.

Roleplay Sample:
The dorm itself was the size of an average living room. The door was on the middle-south portion of the room, with a bunk bed in the corner left of that. On the west wall, opposite the bed, was a large array of bookshelves. Finally, a table in the center hosted two wooden chairs, and the north wall was actually one huge window, which overlooked the city buildings. Shift had taken one of these chairs and moved it to the window, so that he could sit and watch in peace. His application had just been approved, and he would start teaching soon. He wondered how he would teach the children his ways, when the knowledge base in physics required would be too difficult to teach to most humans. He had a plan, however. He was going to make extremely hard quizzes, to weed out the incompetant. After that, he was going to take them on a little field trip, which they wouldn't like, to teach them a very important lesson- beileve what you can sense. Finally, he would tell them his life story, from begining to end. That would let him rest in peace.

When RPing you might want to RP with everyone or maybe a specific person at a time. So how do you tell people that before they open the thread? Easy.

Character's Full Name: December Clarise Moorelan Birthplace: Belfast, Maine
Physical Appearance: - Hair: Choppy dark brown hair - Eyes: Crystal Blue - Body: 86 lbs, 5'0" - Other: Has on dark colors most of the time. It absorbs the heat so she can stay warm. She's shy and loud at the same time.
Shortened History: When December was in middle school she would always feel left out and that nobody noticed her which was true. She started to notice that when she started to feel this way some of her body would disappear. She told her parents and her parents didn't believe it. Once she disappeared completely in her own house her parents were scared. December ran away from home and on her journey to head farther down the East Coast she found Lievel High.
Likes: Cats, rock music, guitar players, wintry weather...Lots of snow.
Dislikes: The summer time, big dogs(bad experience), people who don't believe her when she's telling the truth.

Roleplay Sample: December sat on the bench looking across the lake. She thought about how beautiful it would have been if it was covered in snow and ice. Though it sounded dangerous, December loved to travel on thin ice. She loved to feel the danger and adrenaline of the ice breaking beneath her feet. She started her way towards the lake to see what it would look like up close. Once she reached the shore of the lake her eyes scanned the vast sea of blue-ish green. Right on the horizon layed the sun which made everything around it seem to glow. There was a cool breeze that hit her face gently. December felt free and that no one could bother her. It was a step out of reality for her. "If only I would've known about this place sooner." she spoke aloud. Her crystal blue eyes scanned the area in front of her. Everything was open ranged. There was nothing but peaceful nature that layed ahead of her. December got down on the ground. She could feel the dew seeping into her pants. She pulled her legs close to her chest and held them there with her hands. "Why can't every place be this beautiful?" she questioned herself.
School Background: Built back in 1933, Lievel High was once used as a temporary hospital, where sick patients would come. The building lacked hygeine and people who actually knew what they were doing. In result, nearly everyone who entered the hospital did not leave and those who did didn't last much longer after. It is now used as a school for the gifted children, children with abnormal abilities and would often be shunned in the outside world. Here they are all welcome and treated as human being, given lessons and whatnot to help control their ability and bring it to better use.
Lievel High has been said to be haunted and ghost sightings have been mentioned multiple times, mainly the mention of a dark haired girl in a long white dress often spotted in the hallways at night. She is often encountered as watchful and will call for help.
